A king and a queen are living in a beautiful castle.
Bir kral ve kraliçe güzel bir şatoda yaşamaktadır.
Every day, they are hoping for a child.
Her gün bir çocuk ummaktadırlar.
One morning, a beautiful baby girl is born.
Bir sabah güzel bir bebek kız dünyaya gelir.
The king and queen are very happy because they have a princess.
Kral ve kraliçe bir prensesleri olduğu için çok mutludur.
They send invitations to all the fairies in the kingdom.
Krallıktaki tüm perilere davetiye gönderirler.
The good fairies come and give beautiful gifts to the princess.
İyi periler gelir ve prensese güzel hediyeler verir.
One fairy says: "She is going to be kind and clever."
Bir peri şöyle der: "O nazik ve zeki olacak."
But the king does not invite one old, evil fairy.
Ama kral yaşlı, kötü bir periyi davet etmez.
The evil fairy is very angry because she has no invitation.

She arrives at the castle and puts a terrible curse on the princess.

She says: "One day, this princess is going to touch a spindle and fall into a deep sleep!"

The king is scared, but a young good fairy is still waiting.
Kral korkmuştur, ama genç bir iyi peri hâlâ beklemektedir.
She says: "I cannot stop the curse, but I can change it."
"Laneti durduramam ama değiştirebilirim." der.
She adds: "The princess is not going to die — she is going to sleep."
"Prenses ölmeyecek — sadece uyuyacak." diye ekler.
The king orders all spindles in the kingdom to be burned.
Kral, krallıktaki tüm iğlerin yakılmasını emreder.
Years pass and the princess is now a clever and beautiful young woman.
Yıllar geçer ve prenses artık zeki ve güzel bir genç kadındır.
One day, she is exploring the old rooms of the castle.
Bir gün şatonun eski odalarını keşfetmektedir.
She finds a small door and opens it because she is very curious.
Küçük bir kapı bulur ve çok meraklı olduğu için onu açar.
An old woman is sitting there and she is spinning with a spindle.
Orada yaşlı bir kadın oturmakta ve bir iğ ile iplik eğirmektedir.
The princess asks: "What are you doing? Can I try?"
Prenses sorar: "Ne yapıyorsunuz? Deneyebilir miyim?"
She touches the spindle and immediately falls into a deep sleep.
İğneye dokunur ve hemen derin bir uykuya dalar.
Everyone in the castle is now sleeping because of the curse.
Şatodaki herkes lanet yüzünden artık uyumaktadır.
Tall trees and thick thorns are growing all around the castle.
Şatonun çevresinde uzun ağaçlar ve kalın dikenler büyümektedir.
Many years later, a brave prince is riding through the forest.
Yıllar sonra, cesur bir prens ormandan geçmektedir.
He sees the castle but he is not afraid.
Şatoyu görür ama korkmaz.
He cuts the thorns and walks bravely into the castle.
Dikenleri keser ve cesurca şatoya girer.
He finds the princess — she is sleeping quietly in a lovely room.

He kisses her gently because he wants to help her.

The princess slowly opens her eyes and says: "Is it morning already?"

Finally, the whole castle is waking up and everyone is happy again.
Sonunda tüm şato uyanmaktadır ve herkes yeniden mutludur.
