Once upon a time, a beautiful princess lived in a big palace.
Bir zamanlar, büyük bir sarayda güzel bir prenses yaşıyordu.
She had a golden ball, and it was her most favourite toy.
Altın bir topu vardı ve bu onun en sevdiği oyuncaktı.
Every afternoon, she went to the garden and played near the well.
Her öğleden sonra bahçeye gider ve kuyunun yanında oynardı.
The well was very deep and the water was cold and dark.
Kuyu çok derindi ve su soğuk ile karanlıktı.
One day, she threw the ball too high and it fell into the well.
Bir gün topu çok yüksek fırlattı ve kuyu içine düştü.
The princess sat next to the well and began to cry.
Prenses kuyunun yanına oturdu ve ağlamaya başladı.
She was crying louder than before, because she loved that ball so much.
Her zamankinden daha yüksek sesle ağlıyordu, çünkü o topu çok seviyordu.
Suddenly, a big green frog jumped out of the well.
Aniden büyük yeşil bir kurbağa kuyudan zıpladı.
"Why are you crying, Princess?" said the frog.
"Neden ağlıyorsun, Prenses?" dedi kurbağa.
"My golden ball fell into the well, and I can't get it back," she said sadly.
"Altın topum kuyuya düştü ve geri alamıyorum," dedi üzgünce.
"I can fetch your ball, but you must promise me something," said the frog.
"Topunu getirebilirim ama bana bir şey söz vermelisin," dedi kurbağa.
"You must let me eat at your table and sleep in your room."
"Senin masanda yemek yememe ve odanda uyumama izin vermelisin."
The princess thought a frog was smaller than her problems, so she agreed quickly.
Prenses bir kurbağanın problemlerinden küçük olduğunu düşündü ve hemen kabul etti.
The frog jumped into the well and came back with the golden ball.
Kurbağa kuyuya atladı ve altın topla geri döndü.
The princess took the ball and ran back to the palace without the frog.
Prenses topu aldı ve kurbağasız saraya geri koştu.
That evening, the princess was eating dinner with the king when she heard a knock at the door.
O akşam prenses kral ile akşam yemeği yerken kapıda bir vuruş duydu.
She opened the door and saw the frog standing outside.
Kapıyı açtı ve kurbağanın dışarıda durduğunu gördü.
"Hello, Princess. I am here because you made a promise," said the frog.
"Merhaba Prenses. Bir söz verdiğin için buradayım," dedi kurbağa.
The princess was scared, so she closed the door quickly.
Prenses korktu ve kapıyı hızla kapattı.
The king saw her face and asked, "What happened? Who was at the door?"
Kral onun yüzünü gördü ve sordu: "Ne oldu? Kapıda kim vardı?"
The princess told her father the story about the ball and the frog.
Prenses babasına top ve kurbağa hakkındaki hikayeyi anlattı.
The king said, "You made a promise, so you must keep it."
Kral dedi ki: "Söz verdin, dolayısıyla sözünü tutmalısın."
The princess opened the door again and the frog came inside.
Prenses kapıyı tekrar açtı ve kurbağa içeri girdi.
The frog ate from her golden plate, but the princess did not eat anything.
Kurbağa altın tabağından yedi ama prenses hiçbir şey yemedi.
After dinner, the frog said, "I am tired. Please take me to your room."
Akşam yemeğinden sonra kurbağa dedi ki: "Yoruldum. Lütfen beni odana götür."
The princess was angry, but she remembered the king's words and took him upstairs.
Prenses kızgındı ama kralın sözlerini hatırladı ve onu yukarıya götürdü.
The next morning, the princess woke up and saw a handsome young prince in the room.
Ertesi sabah prenses uyandı ve odada yakışıklı genç bir prens gördü.
She was very surprised and asked, "Who are you? Where is the frog?"
Çok şaşırdı ve sordu: "Sen kimsin? Kurbağa nerede?"
"I am the frog. A wicked witch put a spell on me many years ago," he said.
"Ben kurbağayım. Kötü bir cadı yıllar önce bana büyü yaptı," dedi.
"Only the kindness of a princess could break the spell," he explained.
"Sadece bir prensesin nezaketi büyüyü bozabilirdi," diye açıkladı.
The princess finally understood, and she felt happy that she kept her promise.
Prenses sonunda anladı ve sözünü tuttuğu için mutlu hissetti.
The prince and the princess became the best friends in the whole kingdom.
Prens ve prenses tüm krallıkta en iyi arkadaşlar oldular.
