Elfler ve Ayakkabıcı
There is a poor shoemaker named Hans.
Hans adında fakir bir ayakkabıcı var.
He lives in a small, old workshop.
Küçük, eski bir atölyede yaşıyor.
Today, Hans is very sad because he has no money.
Bugün Hans çok üzgün çünkü hiç parası yok.
He has only one piece of leather.
Sadece bir parça derisi var.
"I am cutting the leather now," he says quietly.
"Şimdi deriyi kesiyorum," diye sessizce söylüyor.
In the morning, Hans goes to his workshop.
Sabah, Hans atölyesine gidiyor.
He sees two beautiful shoes on the table!
Masada iki güzel ayakkabı görüyor!
He is very surprised and happy.
Çok şaşırmış ve mutlu.
"Who is making these shoes?" he asks.
"Bu ayakkabıları kim yapıyor?" diye soruyor.
A rich man buys the shoes quickly and pays good money.
Zengin bir adam ayakkabıları hızlıca alıyor ve iyi para ödüyor.
Every day, new shoes are appearing in the workshop.
Her gün atölyede yeni ayakkabılar beliriyor.
The shoes are always beautiful and very well made.
Ayakkabılar her zaman güzel ve çok iyi yapılmış.
Hans is not poor now but he is curious.
Hans artık fakir değil ama meraklanıyor.
His wife says, "Why are the shoes appearing? Let's watch tonight!"
Karısı diyor ki, "Neden ayakkabılar beliriyor? Bu gece izleyelim!"
At midnight, Hans and his wife are hiding behind a curtain.

Two tiny elves are running into the workshop.

They are wearing old and torn clothes.
Eski ve yırtık kıyafetler giyiyorlar.
The elves are working very fast and they are very cheerful.
Elfler çok hızlı çalışıyor ve çok neşeliler.
"Look! They are making the shoes!" whispers Hans.
"Bak! Ayakkabıları onlar yapıyor!" diye fısıldıyor Hans.
Hans and his wife feel very grateful.
Hans ve karısı çok minnettarlık duyuyor.
"What can we do for them?" she asks.
"Onlar için ne yapabiliriz?" diye soruyor.
"I am sewing tiny clothes for the elves," says his wife happily.
"Elfler için minik kıyafetler dikiyorum," diyor karısı mutlu bir şekilde.
Hans is making two pairs of tiny, warm shoes.
Hans iki çift minik, sıcak ayakkabı yapıyor.
They put the gifts on the table and they wait.
Hediyeleri masaya koyuyorlar ve bekliyorlar.
At midnight, the elves see the gifts and they are so happy!
Gece yarısı, elfler hediyeleri görüyor ve çok mutlular!
They are putting on the new clothes and dancing together.
Yeni kıyafetleri giyiyorlar ve birlikte dans ediyorlar.
The elves do not come back but Hans is not sad.
Elfler geri gelmiyor ama Hans üzgün değil.
He is a very good shoemaker now and every day he works hard.
Artık çok iyi bir ayakkabıcı ve her gün çok çalışıyor.
Hans always remembers the kind little elves with a big smile.
