There is a young prince.
Genç bir prens var.
He lives in a big castle.
Büyük bir şatoda yaşıyor.
The prince wants a real princess.
Prens gerçek bir prenses istiyor.
He does not find a real princess.
Gerçek bir prenses bulamıyor.
He is very sad.
Çok üzgün.
One night, it is very cold and wet.
Bir gece hava çok soğuk ve ıslak.
A young girl knocks on the door.

She is wet and tired.
Islak ve yorgun.
"Hello! I am a princess," she says.
"Merhaba! Ben bir prensesim," diyor.
The old queen does not believe her.
Yaşlı kraliçe ona inanmıyor.
She has a small pea.
Küçük bir bezelyesi var.
She puts the pea under the bed.
Bezelyeyi yatağın altına koyuyor.
Then she puts twenty mattresses on top.
Sonra üstüne yirmi şilte koyuyor.
The girl sleeps on the big bed.
Kız büyük yatakta uyuyor.
The bed is very soft and tall.
Yatak çok yumuşak ve yüksek.
But she does not sleep well.
Ama iyi uyuyamıyor.
She feels something hard and small.
Sert ve küçük bir şey hissediyor.
In the morning, the queen asks: "How do you feel?"
Sabah kraliçe soruyor: "Nasıl hissediyorsunuz?"
"I do not sleep well," says the girl.
"İyi uyuyamadım," diyor kız.
"I feel something in the bed!"
"Yatakta bir şey hissediyorum!"
The queen is very happy now.
Kraliçe şimdi çok mutlu.
Only a real princess feels the small pea.

The prince and the princess get married.
