There is a young prince in a big castle.
Büyük bir kalede genç bir prens yaşıyor.
Every day, he is looking for a real princess.
Her gün gerçek bir prenses arıyor.
But he is not finding one, and he is very sad.
Ama bir türlü bulamıyor ve çok üzgün.
His mother, the queen, wants to help him.
Annesi, kraliçe, ona yardım etmek istiyor.
"Don't worry," she says gently. "I have a plan."
"Meraklanma," der nazikçe. "Bir planım var."
Today, a big storm is coming to the kingdom.
Bugün krallığa büyük bir fırtına geliyor.
It is raining very heavily outside.
Dışarıda çok şiddetli yağmur yağıyor.
In the evening, someone is knocking on the castle door.
Akşam vakti biri kale kapısını çalıyor.
A young girl is standing outside in the cold rain.
Genç bir kız soğuk yağmurda dışarıda duruyor.
She is very wet, tired, and scared.
Çok ıslak, yorgun ve korkmuş durumda.
"I am a real princess, but I am lost!" she says.
"Ben gerçek bir prensesim ama kayboldum!" diyor.
The queen is not sure because the girl looks very ordinary.
Kraliçe emin değil çünkü kız çok sıradan görünüyor.
So she is thinking of a secret test.
Bu yüzden gizli bir test düşünüyor.
She goes to the bedroom and puts a small pea on the bed.
Yatak odasına gidiyor ve yatağın üstüne küçük bir bezelye koyuyor.
Then she places twenty soft mattresses on top of the pea.
Sonra bezelyenin üstüne yirmi yumuşak yatak minderi dizi yor.
The pea is hiding under all the mattresses, but the queen is smiling.
Bezelye tüm minderlerin altında saklıyor ama kraliçe gülümsüyor.
The girl is sleeping on the very high bed tonight.
Kız bu gece çok yüksek yatakta uyuyor.
But she is not sleeping well because she feels uncomfortable.
Ama rahat uyuyamıyor çünkü kendini rahatsız hissediyor.
She is turning and turning in the bed all night.
Bütün gece yatakta dönüp duruyor.
In the morning, the queen asks: "How are you? Did you sleep well?"
Sabah kraliçe soruyor: "Nasılsın? İyi uyudun mu?"
"No! I am feeling very sore and tired today," the girl answers honestly.
"Hayır! Bugün çok ağrılı ve yorgun hissediyorum," diye dürüstçe yanıtlıyor kız.
The queen is very excited because only a real princess is so sensitive.
Kraliçe çok heyecanlı çünkü yalnızca gerçek bir prenses bu kadar hassas olur.
She tells the prince: "She is a real princess!"
Prense söylüyor: "O gerçek bir prenses!"
The prince is very happy and he is smiling warmly at the girl.
Prens çok mutlu ve kıza sıcacık gülümsüyor.
The girl is not scared anymore because everyone is very kind.
Kız artık korkmuyor çünkü herkes çok nazik.
Finally, the prince and the princess marry and are very happy.
Sonunda prens ile prenses evlenir ve çok mutlu olurlar.
